During the second weekend in September come to South River / Machar and enjoy the Fall Fair. The Fall Fair is located at South River - Machar Community Centre ( Arena ) and grounds at 1A Lincoln Avenue. ( west of Hwy 11 and Ottawa Avenue )
Admission for this event is $1 for kids 12 and under and Adults and teens pay $3.
On Friday night enjoy music and entertainment, on Saturday enjoy horse show, parade, childrens games, variety show, lumberjack competition, horseshoe pitching contest and heavy horse draws. There will be a parade during the day also along with a pot luck dinner in the evening. South River is a great place to take a walk and enjoy the history of the town. South River is located about 30 minutes north of Huntsville in the Almaguin Highlands near Algonquin Park.
